Job Brief: 

An exciting opportunity for an Aircraft Mechanic, either beginning a career or with significant experience.

As an Aircraft Mechanic this hands-on position is responsible for testing, adjusting, repairing and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of airframe, engine, and component systems on a variety of aircraft models.

Starting pay is $25.00 – $35.00 hourly. If you are a trained mechanic with no aircraft maintenance experience, we have paid 6 month internship opportunities which lead to full time employment and aviation mechanics certification.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in, and learn how to conduct high quality inspections, servicing, and maintenance of aircraft components & engine systems on a variety of aircraft production models. 
  • Use proper aircraft industry hand tools, specialized equipment, and support equipment, in a timely, clean, safe, and professional manner with no rework.
  • Record all work performed as OJT for record and development.
  • Accurately order general components & parts, turn-in and record removed parts, support delivery and record of received parts as needed and directed.
  • Performs minor troubleshooting, function testing, and repair of aircraft & engine systems and components.
  • Prepare various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policies, FAA Approved Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, All FAA regulations (FARs), OEM Aircraft Manufacturer chapter 4 & 5 maintenance requirements, etc. to include turnovers, and personal training logs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency of aviation work order system by indentifying or completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements including Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives (AD) Compliance statements.
  • Consistently locate maintenance requirements and follow both appropriate technical data for OEM Aircraft Manufacturer chapter 4 & 5 and verbal instructions to complete assigned maintenance tasks.
  • Support, maintain, and comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety, for federal, OSHA, state and local regulations.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned by management.
Job Specific Requirements:

Licenses: Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred.

Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.

Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs., occasionally lifts up to 100 lbs. Stands for long periods of time, with frequent bending, squatting, kneeling and stooping.

Uses hands to reach and feel, with repetitive motion. Good finger dexterity.

Reads and Writes, Speaks, Hears, and Understands American English well / fluently.

Has Visual acuity correctable to 20/20.

 Competencies:

  • Work in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, heights above six feet, noisy environments and flying.
  • Work with and around products and materials associated with aircraft maintenance.
  • Two years related aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
  • Two to three years corporate experience preferred.
  • Occasional overnight and short notice travel.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, as directed by management.

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalency degree required.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License preferred but not required.

  • Agree to attend one Flight Safety International Initial Corporate Aircraft Maintenance Course by make & model.
  • Two years related aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
  • Two to three years corporate experience preferred.
